Whew!

I can relax for a few minutes! Things have been so crazy for the past week or so. We have been able to see our little boy twice now. And I get to visit him again this Sunday. Driving 10 hours round trip is kinda tough, but it's totally worth it. We feel bad about not being able to visit him everyday. We are naming him Simon and we found out that he is actually only a couple weeks old. He was born on Feb 6. Due to prematurity and a surgery that was done, he will be in the hospital for at least 3-4 weeks learning how to feed from a bottle. We still need to get through the relinquishment process, but Simon's birth mother is really positive about us adopting him.

Last week we took Eli on the train for a trip to San Diego. We had a fun day at Sea World--were we where got semi-soaked by Shamu, and the next day we enjoyed a few fun hours at the zoo looking at some pretty cool animals. I'm so a small town girl, but if I ever had to move to a big city it would be San Diego. I loved how easy it was to get around on public transportation, and although there are LOTS of people it's pretty clean and not really congested. A big bonus would be the large Ethiopian community.
