Where to begin

Where to begin?  Last Friday brought us not-so-good news as we learned that
Sime's last fistula surgery was not successful.  He is now scheduled for another surgery on 11/9.  This time it will be an open procedure which obviously involves more risk and a longer hospital stay.  However, after this surgery we will know without a doubt that his fistula is closed. As much as I am dreading my sweet baby having surgery again, it can't happen soon enough...he has been having a difficult time with coughing, retching, vomiting.  I am guessing it's all related to the fistula.  I came to the realization yesterday (thanks to another visit to our pediatrician) that there really isn't anything anybody can do for him right now.  We are just going to have to tough-it-out until Monday.  It really sucks!
The good news is he is now 14 lbs 1 oz and able to sit and play all by himself.  When he's feeling good his personality shines so brightly and he is the sweetest most happiest baby you'd ever meet!

As for the rest of the family...work is getting harder for Sean and I've been looking for full or additional part-time employment that offers benefits.  I have a lot of mixed feelings about this next season of life and am trying to be thankful for the time the Lord has given me as a stay-at-home wife and mommy.  I am certain Sean would rather continue working to provide for his family than to have muscular dystrophy.

Brit & PJ have moved to a nice little condo that doesn't require 5 minutes of driving on a curvee road (if you have motion sickness you would understand how much that stinks).  It's a little further from us, but I am more than happy to drive the extra distance to see them.

Dak will be celebrating the big 1-8 on Monday and has her first serious boyfriend.  She's still looking for employment and we are hoping she finds something soon.  She likes to spend money:)

Eli continues to enjoy preschool two days a week, gymnastics, soccer, and Kid's Club which recently restarted at church.  It's wonderful to hear him talk about Jesus and all he's learning.

I'm not sure if Dakota is too cool... or too smart. Yeouch, that looks like it would hurt.

Know we are praying for you and are available to do anything to help.
