Praising Jesus and thanking Him for letting us go home with a healthy and happy baby boy! We should be home on Friday:)
Good bye wicked-cold Boston, hello nice climate of California!
Talk with the dr this morning and Simon will need heart surgery at some point to correct the double aortic arch (DAA), but he isn't symptomatic and is doing so well there's no reason we can't go home. What will eventually happen with the DAA is as his trachea keeps growing the weaker DAA won't grow with it and will begin to compress the trachea. It's not an all of the sudden process. We will follow-up with a cardio-thoracic surgeon at Stanford in the next few months or so.
Thanks again for all the prayers and support!
Only by His grace with love,
The Rogers' family
PS our little chunky-monkey weighs a whopping 15 lbs 6 oz!!!!!!
