Simon is doing GREAT! He is still having some gagging, but overall is problem free. He rarely coughs and we honestly think the surgery increased his volume--his cry seems much louder now;) He will be up to full g-tube feeds by the morning. We are working on oral feedings...if you all know me you will know how hard it is for me to do this, but for the sake of my sweet baby I must--let him play with his food and make a BIG mess!!!!  To let you know just how good Simon is feeling...in the span of a few days he has sat up from a lying down position, got up on his knees in a crawl position, is days away from pulling himself up to a standing position, and is full of sweet smiles, giggles, and more!!!

Praise report:  No surgery needed for his trachea!

Prayer request: From the CT scan they discovered Simon has double aortic arches.  (Here is a link if you are curious http://pennstatehershey.org/healthinfo/hie/1/007316.htm)  We are waiting to find out more tomorrow when Simon's attending doctor returns from vacation.

We are hoping to be out of the hospital by Thursday and  home by this weekend.  We told them Simon's insurance will change on Jan 1 and he will only be covered in the state of California, so now they are working harder on getting us out by the 31st:)

Hmm...it's 10:30 PM...maybe I should go to sleep now...nah!
